How can you mix a boat and a guitar?

I own 7 guitars. I love each of them for the different sounds they make, how they blend together when mixing. My wife asked many how many of them I actually needed and I said "All of 'em".
But I dare not take any of them on our boat. Salt air, salt water everywhere, I am afraid of what the environment would do to them. Plus even though we have 2 staterooms on the boat, the my guitars in their cases take up too much room.
So a couple of years ago, Santa bought me a Martin Backpacker guitar. I had been wanting something for the boat for years, but was always afraid that it would sound like a kid's guitar or something worse. But this guitar, as with any Martin instrument, sounds great. It doesn't have the rounded body of larger guitars, so at least for me I need to wear the strap with it so it's in the right position when I play. But other than that it sounds great and people who stop by and listen are always surprised that it's not a bigger, more expensive instrument.
So now I have 8 guitars...
